Two veterinarians, one standard: evidence first
Pet Evidence exists because the pet supplement aisle is graded by marketing budgets, not clinical trials. We're two veterinarians who got tired of that, first in our clinics, then by building products, and now by publishing the evidence in plain language.

Dr. Jeremy, DVM
Like most veterinarians, I can't remember a time I didn't want to do this job. I grew up certain I'd spend my life around animals, got the degree (ENVT, France), trained at Colorado State University, and lived the dream in clinical practice. Then I spent seven years inside the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industry, and saw how many pet supplements get formulated: by marketers first, scientists second.
In my clinic years I was the colleague who argued against glucosamine on the strength of the trial record, long before the 2022 meta-analysis made it consensus. Losing that debate over and over taught me something: the evidence doesn't speak for itself, someone has to translate it. That's what I do here. I write most of the decrypts on this site, and I co-founded Jope to build the formulas I couldn't find on the market.

Dr. Christine, DVM
Christine is the same story with a different trigger. A childhood spent wanting to care for animals, veterinary school, years of clinical practice, and then a patient she couldn't help enough: her own dog, Pepsi, whose osteoarthritis kept getting worse while the popular supplements did nothing measurable. That experience sent her back to the scientific literature, through dozens of clinical trials, and ultimately into formulation.
Today she's a co-founder of Jope, where she leads formulation, and the scientific reviewer of everything published on this site. If a decrypt misreads a study, it doesn't ship.
Who owns this site
Pet Evidence is owned and operated by Jope Inc., the company behind Jope pet supplements (petjope.com). When Jope products appear in our rankings, that relationship is disclosed on the page itself, not buried here. We built this site because we believe the evidence, transparently graded, favors the way we formulate, and we'd rather show you that reasoning than hide the connection.
